Lettuce Cup Coral, Turbinaria sp., is a more “leafy” variation of the more common Cup Coral. It still tends to be a great coral for the intermediate to advanced aquarist looking to being caring for hard corals. It is typically displays shades of brown, golden-brown, or green colorations. Cup Coral prospers best with medium to high lighting and water flow levels. With proper water conditions, which include carefully monitored calcium levels and the addition of strontium, it will typically thrive. Its high hardiness and low aggressiveness make it popular and its unique shapes and colors add diversity to the aquascape of the home reef aquarium.
